Captains Quarters

What can I say about a place we come to every year? The rooms are huge, and they are clean. Front desk service is excellent. We stay for the affordable pricing (5 nights for under $700 the week of Labor Day). Close to great dining, and Marconi Beach. We weren’t crazy about the new pillows (and very firm mattresses) so will bring our own pillows next year, and only hiccup was that the one day we put out the sign for housekeeping it never happened…not a deal-breaker for us and like other businesses on the Cape, they are likely working short. All-in-all it was a wonderful vacation and we are planning to return next year!

Really nice place. The bed was comfortable and the rooms and the bathroom were clean. The size is pretty average. The rooms were equipped with a fridge and a microwave. It had an outdoor pool, but unfortunately it was raining when we were staying there. It was a good stay for the price. There are not many restaurants near it though, so plan accordingly. I also don't know if the Motel used to offer breakfast, but they didn't when we visited. There was complementary coffee available in the lobby though.

Stayed here on a bus trip. The rooms have all been redone and I found them decent. Definitely get a room on the parking lot side! People on the back side were in a more wooded area and bugs in their rooms seemed to be a big issue. While mostly renovated three opportunities for improvement would be (1) replace the entry door knobs - we were given 1 key per room which fit into an ancient typical, cheap residential grade knob that looked decades old - gave no impression of remodeled or any level of security. (2) while I’m sure the mattresses were replaced when the rooms were renovated and were not initially uncomfortable when you lay down, by morning your body was very uncomfortable from sleeping on a cheap, not very supportive mattress. I’m not that particular and hard to please mattress wise so for me to notice this was very unusual. I think they should’ve increased their mattress budget. (3) the showerheads were not impressive and look like they were replaced the last time the door knobs were - decades ago. They were not at all movable and had no adjustments for different flows. They normally do not offer breakfast, but we were part of a bus tour group that had paid extra for it, so we did have breakfast each morning that included scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes along with your other typical continental choices. Breakfast was good for what it was and well tended to. Final observation. There is a new mounted headboard with integrated nightstand between the beds. The only (2) plugs available near the bed, are beneath the integrated night stand. Perhaps you can reach them if you’re young and or limber but otherwise it was impossible. We had to find a neighbor with the ability to reach them. Again, we stayed here through a bus trip. Would I choose to stay here on my own … maybe, maybe not it would depend on what the other options were available. But it’s not a definite no, ultimately it was acceptable if you have a room on the parking lot side.

Cute and quaint little hideaway. Rooms were somewhat dated, lighting was harsh, and there were few extras. Lack of breakfast was also a minus, but it is made up for by an excellent location and friendly staff. A huge plus was the proximity to the biking trail. We also enjoyed the pool, which was open to 8pm.

Easy location in such a good part of the cape. The free coffee is something to avoid. Rooms are nice for the price. We have definitely paid more for much worse. We were running late and they were very accommodating with check in and very polite and friendly about it. As usual with more affordable places the bathrooms left something to be desired.

Reasonably priced, clean, convenient parking, microwave & fridge, comfortable beds, quiet, you pull up to unit to park so loading/loading is easy. What more could you want?

Good place for 1 to 3 person group. Staff are very friendly. However, if you have children, this may not be the best hotel option in the cape cod area. Our group had 5 people and the room we stayed in had only 2 full sized beds, not really comfortable. This place is in my perspective intended for couples or a very small group of friends. Also, our room had a bedbug infestation, so please bring bug bite cream if you’re in that situation. Lastly, this is a very good spot if you’re looking for a place with restaurants, cafes, and gas stations nearby. Very good breakfast places nearby and good spots for dinner in the evening. 4 stars from me

Rooms are basic but clean and updated. Pet friendly!!! Nice wooded lot with areas to walk or sit and read a book. Didn't require much service from them so I can't comment on that but everyone was pleasant.
